Stanford Summer Engineering Academy
During Admit Weekend I went to an engineering open house, and I just happened to run into a former SSEA student. She told me that the program had changed her experience at Stanford and set her up for success.

So I applied and here I am. SSEA has been transformative for me. Coming into SSEA, I was really apprehensive about engineering and the amount of competition here. But everyone so far has been super collaborative. Especially the professors. It’s amazing to see how qualified these individuals are, and how willing they are to engage with people who are not at their level yet, but are trying to get there.

I never planned to become a mathematician. I liked math growing up because it made sense to me – plug this number into this equation here, and you’ll get an output that follows some predictable logic.
