Everyone at Stanford Engineering is part of something bigger than themselves.
They’re not here just to check off a box and say, ‘I finished,’ but to learn something and then go out and change the world. Professors here are inspired. The students are inspired. And all of the people that make things happen around the faculty and students are inspired.
I graduated in the winter but I’ll be walking this week. I already miss the intellectual community I found at the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford (CARS). One of my fondest memories was meeting with an engineering ethics group, which brought together automotive engineers and ethics philosophers to think through critical issues in the future of autonomous driving.
